Our wine cellar
The cellar guards the secrets of the winemaking process. We vinify grapes exclusively from our vineyards that extend over 6.5 hectares in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico area, in San Paolo di Jesi (AN).
The current winery was built in 1970 by Mario Brunori and enlarged in 1980 by Giorgio Brunori. The underground part is dedicated to vinification and ageing, with cement barrels with the unmistakable vintage look of the 1950s.
The upper part of the cellar is dedicated to bottling and packaging in air-conditioned rooms. On the second floor is the recently renovated tasting room, divided between the interior space and the panoramic terrace with views as far as the sea.
Vinification
Quality is our strength
Quality control begins in the vineyard. Careful monitoring of the yield per hectare is achieved through short pruning and appropriate thinning of the bunches in the summer; this is followed by scalar manual harvesting and completed with immediate soft pressing in the cellar.
Fermentation and ageing in vitrified cement barrels facilitates the natural static decantation of both must and wine, drastically reducing the use of any clarifying products.
Vinification is carried out respecting the natural ageing times of the wines.
Our identity
Verdicchio
Our identity is fully expressed in Verdicchio, one of the most awarded and appreciated wines in Italy.
Brunori's products have always respected the typical characteristics of this great white grape variety:
-High acidity (a guarantee of longevity);
-Sapidity, deriving from the clayey and sandy soils and the water veins in the area rich in mineral salts;
-Great persistence of flavour, with the typical light bitterish aftertaste and the typical hints of almonds.
