Vineyards and Olive groves

The Land

The hills between the mountains and the sea. The river, history and culture.

Thanks to the typical climate of the Marche region, wines produced here preserve their distinctive character and organoleptic characteristics over time. Vallesina, in the province of Ancona, is among the most fertile and productive areas in the Marche. Its historic villages, surrounded by medieval walls, are rich in traditions, culture and art. These are the ‘Castles of Jesi’, true architectural jewels that have remained intact over time and in the charm they express for visitors. San Paolo di Jesi, stands on the right bank of the Esino river, which flows a short distance away. It is a small castle born among the vineyards and still strongly linked to wine production and rural traditions. A short distance away it’s possible to visit the wonderful natural attractions of the Frasassi Caves and the towns of Jesi with its mighty and intact city walls, and Fabriano, famous for its paper production, dating back to the Middle Ages. Also in the vicinity: the ‘velvet beach’ of Senigallia, a gourmet city with its many starred chefs, and the splendid Monte Conero Park, an exclusive destination for international tourism with its white beaches and bays protected by Mediterranean maquis woods.

The Vineyards

The beating heart of the Verdicchio area

Our vineyard extends over 6.5 hectares in the beating heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico e Superiore area, in San Paolo di Jesi (AN), an area that has always been particularly suited to the cultivation of grapes. The clayey-sandy, calcareous soil, rich in potassium, lies on a medium hillside at 200 m above sea level and contributes to enriching the aroma and body of the wine. The south/south-west exposure of the vineyards allows the right balance between sunshine and ventilation of the vines, ensuring proper ripening of the grapes.
In the pre-harvest phase, as autumn approaches, the temperature changes between day and night favour the enrichment of the wine's olfactory bouquet, giving it those typical Verdicchio aromas.

Our olive groves and our extra virgin olive oil.

We infuse the same passion and agronomic and production knowledge of the wine world into olive growing. The Brunori family has inherited centuries-old olive trees, planted as in the tradition, at the edge of the rows by the farmers of the last century. A unique heritage that makes the hilly landscape of the Marche region unmistakable.
Over the years we have always planted new trees of local varieties, just as our ancestors did.
The varieties we grow are raggia, leccino and frantoio, which come together in a unique blend that respects and enhances the characteristics of high quality extra virgin olive oil.
Early harvesting of the olives guarantees a higher polyphenol content and milling takes place within 12 hours of picking.
Cold pressing guarantees the typical fragrance and freshness of freshly picked olives.
Brunori extra virgin olive oil is characterised as ‘light and medium fruity’, with herbaceous, almond and artichoke scents.
The bitter and spicy taste of medium intensity goes perfectly with sea and land cuisine.
